Dr. Suhail Farooqui is a passionate and visionary leader dedicated to preparing every student for success in an ever-changing world. With over two decades of experience in education, he is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, equity, and excellence at the Model Community School District.

Dr. Farooqui earned his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Model Community University (Go Parrots!) , where his research focused on the role of technology in enhancing student engagement and streamlining district operations. He began his career as a high school math teacher, later serving as a principal and an assistant superintendent in a neighboring district. Throughout his career, Dr. Farooqui has been a strong advocate for data-driven decision-making and collaborative leadership.

Since becoming Superintendent, Dr. Farooqui has prioritized creating a more responsive and accessible district for families and staff. He spearheaded the implementation of a new platform designed to modernize the district’s key service processes and ensure a stellar and consistent customer experience. He believes that by empowering the community and streamlining district operations, we can collectively build a brighter future for our students.

Dr. Farooqui resides in the community with his family and enjoys attending MCSD’s athletic games and school performances.
